Business Consultant Life Sciences (male/female)

This is an individual contributor role as a Business Consultant for Information Technologies in Life Science Industries. It is a full-time position with 40 working hours per week. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Capture, analyze and document customer demand regarding IT; develop a solution concept together with corresponding acceptance criteria and test plans
  • Act as the main business interface to the customer
  • Provide presales support to the sales department
  • Provide feedback about market demand to product management and R&D
  • Define, support and conduct application tests
  • Manage solution deployment projects for or on behalf of customers
  • Create project documentation and CSV documentation
  • Create and maintain project plans and provide project reporting
  • Conduct user trainings, which includes developing training materials etc.

Required Skills and Capabilities

  • Deep understanding of complex technical problems, their dependencies and respective solutions
  • Excellent process and application know-how of industrialized research, development and production, especially in Life Science
  • Project management skills and understanding of the main project methodologies
  • An understanding of the software development process (V-model, Agile) as well as modelling tools (UML, BPML)
  • Deep understanding of requirement analysis; Certification (CPRE FL) is a plus
  • Experience in using LIMS/LES/MES systems
  • Highly efficient as a team player as well as in solo tasks
  • Strong orientation towards quality, customer satisfaction and reaching and exceeding business targets
  • Continuously strive for personal excellence and self-improvement
  • Excellent communication skills

Formal Prerequisites

  • Relevant vocational education or college degree or multiyear professional experience in a similar role in the consumer goods industry and tobacco, additional IT/software background is a plus
  • Excellent language skills in German and English
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (e.g. customer visits)
