Software Project Engineer (male/female)

This is an individual contributor role as a Software Project Engineer. It is a full-time position with 40 working hours per week. Xavo is an equal opportunity employer and will consider all applicants if they comply with the capabilities and prerequisites listed below.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Full spectrum of software project tasks at our long-time costumers (recording the requirements, solution development, implementation and support)
  • Execution of assigned tasks according to a project plan
  • Act as the main business interface to the customer, manage the commercial aspects of the customer relationship (e.g. change orders, service levels, procurement)
  • Software development, configuration and implementation as a part of the project
  • Conduct user trainings as a part of the project
  • Create project reports

Required Skills and Capabilities

  • Deep understanding of complex technical processes and problems, their dependencies and respective solutions in research, development and production
  • Deep understanding of processes for agile methods of developing and the V-Model
  • Experience in using MES/MOM, Sample Management systems and the integration of ERP, LIMS and automation systems
  • Highly efficient as a team player as well as in solo tasks
  • Strong orientation towards quality, customer satisfaction and reaching and exceeding business targets
  • Continuously strive for personal excellence and self-improvement
  • Excellent communication skills

Formal Prerequisites

  • Relevant vocational education or college degree or multiyear professional experience in a similar role in the software industry
  • Excellent language skills in German and English
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (e.g. customer visits)
